Property requires a $100 CASH only deposit upon arrival. This is something that I was not notified about before hand. Does not matter that I had already paid online. Was also told that it could not be put on our card. Staff was nice, but the building could use some work. The hallway and room smelled damp. Our fridge and mircowave were not clean. The microwave had a hole and burn marks on the inside so we could not use it.

Where do I begin? The hotel is outdated and they need buy new furniture. The bed was comfortable thank god but everything else was horrible. The room had a funky odor and the breakfast had no variety to choose from other than cereal or waffles. The nicest thing I can say is the gentleman who checked me in was very nice but everything else was horrible. I was supposed to stay for 2 nights and ended up checking out after the first night. Never again.

A person who books a room through Expedia is required to give $100 in cash upon checking in. The Cash is returned upon checking out. Most people do not carry that kind of cash around, and I was no exception. I had to leave the hotel and find an ATM. The room was clean but had a faint smell of animal. I have stayed here a few times and never once had to pay this cash deposit. But the person working the counter insisted that it has been a Hotel policy for a while. I watched the person in front of me not pay the $100 cash and she replied that he paid with a credit card directly to the hotel so he was not required to.

Usually stay here when im in town for work however, this time I was very unhappy... someone was smoking in their room and the whole floor smelled like cigarettes including my room. It seemed to be coming in through the vents. I'm highly asthmatic so it was a very rough night. I called the front desk to report the situation and was offered a room change... I got permission to open my room window and that helped greatly. I declined the room change as I was already ready for bed and did not understand why I was being punished for someone else's indiscretions. (All rooms I noticed had the no smoking sign).
