「Our stay at the Sand Dunes Motel was such a pleasant experience. The staff were so helpful and kind, the rooms were clean, and the beach view (even on the first floor) was stunning. The pool was also very clean, and the beach access was very convenient. Looking forward to staying here again in the future!」

The best thing is that it is right on the beach and that was nice. The rooms were clean but nothing like nice soaps or shampoos , just very basic supplies. 「It’s ocean front and it’s not too old. My shower had some weird things that I used the shower head to get down the drain. It was a walk in shower with shower head and a handheld shower head. It looked like a handicapped room or shower. It had some wear and tear.」

「Enjoyed the staff and property. Close to Southport and the coast yet close to local restaurants not just “resort” priced restaurants. Breakfast was ok but not many fruit offerings and items weren’t always refilled in a timely manner.」

「The property is next door to their restaurant. Not enough parking for both so if you leave for dinner don’t expect to come back to a parking space at the hotel as restaurant patrons park in the hotel spots even though it is clearly marked for hotels guests. Hotel wouldn’t do anything about it.」

The Oyster bar was so good we visited twice. 2- The B and B is perfect. A very warm host who instantly made you feel at home. 「The hotel was nice, but not up to the expected standards. There was only one elevator working, the breakfast was fair, the pillows were miniature, and the A/C was noisy. Theses are minor, I know, but somewhat agravating. The guest, (which was not your fault, were slaming doors until 2AM.」

「Beautiful room, looks brand new and was nicely appointed with very nice furniture. The fridge was retro and cute, bed was very comfortable. Some dustier floors than I would have liked but sometimes this is to be expected in beachy environments. This was nothing major, overall the room was lovely and comfortable and I would recommend this as a great place to stay. 」
