This hotel is beautiful and rich with history, clean, well equipped, has wonderful staff and is in a great location, very close to the historic center and near lots of restaurants and shopping. Was very noisy outside our windows though (which were closed) very late into the night/early morning which made for a rough night of sleep.

Absolutely gorgeous. I stayed in the Art Room. The Art Room is one of a kind. It is carved in the ancient “Sacchetti’s Tower”, a noble florentine family rival to De' Medici familiy and mentioned in the sixteenth canto of Paradise of the great poet Dante Alighieri. The room is fully decorated with original frescoes of the XIV sec , discovered during the renovation of the building and finely restored. Staff was all helpful and pleasant. You did get night noise, but you are in the middle of it all. Walking distance to all the great sites!

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations!! My wife and I booked this hotel based on the excellent reviews it had and we both truly believe that this hotel was the most authentic to the area. It was listed as a 3 star hotel, but it certainly had the feel of a full 4 star hotel!! The room we stayed in was quite large and the shower/bathroom area was huge!! Our room had a turkish bath (very large shower area with a steam room). I absolutely loved this feature and enjoyed it after a long day of sightseeing! Our room had a lot of embellishments that really contributed to the tuscan feel. It had a painted ceiling above the bed, stone wall accents and a stone desk. It was one of the best hotels we had ever stayed in during both of our tours of italy. I would highly recommended this hotel when you are staying in Florence!!

We had a room for 3 people. My son had his own cute little room separated from ours by a curtain. The bathroom is brand new and modern with the best shower I've seen in Europe.
