「Hotel Steenhuyse was a very nice place for me to stay on my cycling trip to Flanders. Bart was a great host. He even sat and had a nice chat with me at breakfast. My room was very large, clean, and well-decorated. Breakfast was a buffet with a variety of meats, breads, pastries, and cereals. As a cycling fan from the U.S., I couldn't recommend a hotel more than this one. It is a few steps away from the Tour of Flanders museum, and a short ride from the famous climbs of the Ronde. 「We stayed three nights at this hotel. It was an easy walk from the train station (10-15 minutes) and close to many shops and restaurants. We arrived about 90 minutes before check in and were told that our room was not ready (understandable). We weren’t offered the chance to store our bags with the hotel while we waited so we had to drag around our suitcases for a while. 「The room is very spacious and has a great view, and the heating is very good so that it is nice and warm even in the cold weather. Parking is very convenient as it is right next to the building. We didn't cook but there is a fully equipped kitchen. Our host Christine was very friendly and welcoming the whole time and assisted us with everything we needed.」
