Property clean and staff excellent. Approach to hotel felt like an industrial estate and view from window the same. Car is necessary to go into town. Lighting in dining room too dark at breakfast, and not enough light in room for reading. Good car parking (surface and underground) at a reasonable rate.

The room service food at night was terrible for such a great hotel.. the room was fantastic. The hotel is amazing…. but the room service food at night was literally like microwave food. So disappointed taste like cardboard! Apart from this, it was fantastic stay

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Van der Valk Hotel Gent, and I must say, it was an excellent experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality, making me feel welcome right away. Upon check-in, I was offered a lovely glass of cava, which was a nice touch and set the tone for a relaxing stay. The reception staff were not only friendly but also very helpful, providing me with all the information I needed about the hotel amenities and local attractions. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained – it’s incredibly clean, and everything feels fresh and well cared for. The rooms are spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed, offering both comfort and style. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed, which made it easy to unwind after a day of exploring the city. The location of the hotel is also ideal. There are excellent public transport connections, making it easy to get to local pubs, restaurants, and other attractions. Whether you’re planning a night out in the city or a quiet evening at the hotel, you’ll find plenty of options nearby. The breakfast was another highlight of my stay – a great selection of fresh, high-quality items to start the day off right. There was a good variety of options, catering to different dietary preferences, and the dining area itself was bright and welcoming. Whilst the hotel is positioned close to the motorway it is on an industrial estate so reaching it wasn't what we expected. However, as soon as you enter the hotel you forget the journey as it was luxurious from the moment you step inside. The rooms, dining and drinks were all sublime

Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß und klimatisiert. Die Betten waren sehr bequem, das Frühstück sehr reichhaltig, drei Restaurants im Haus, nur 10 Euro pro Tag für die Tiefgarage, Personal sehr freundlich!

Positiv: Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal an der Rezeption und in der Gastronomie. Gutes Restaurant. Was man vorher wusste: Gute Fernstraßenanbindung, aber Lage mitten im Industriegebiet, direkt neben einem Stadion. Defizite: An dem Deluxe-Zimmer war nichts Deluxe außer der Größe. Spartanische Ausstattung mit einem schmalen Kunststofffurnierregalschrank. Geschlossene! Kunststofffurnierkästen an den Bettseiten. Zum Raum hin offener "Badbereich" ohne Ablagemöglichkeiten. Keinerlei Haken oder Bügel für Handtücher neben dem Waschbecken. Lediglich zwei Pins in der Wand neben der Dusche. Für eine Person wäre das gerade noch ausreichend. Kein Waschbecken im WC. ÖPNV-Anbindung nur von Montag bis Freitag bis 21Uhr. Frühstück ohne jegliche Abwechslung (7 Tage). Für Nicht-Vegetarier gibt es lediglich je eine Sorte Wurst- und Schinkenaufschnitt.

The hotel is excellent. The room was very good with a comfortable bed and breakfast is amazing. The only downside is that the bus does not run at the weekend so it is a 15 min walk to the tram stop at the hospital.

This was our second stay at the Van der Valk Ghent. This stay was as good as our first ever stay! Excellent hotel group, we have booked a stay at the Van Der Valk Amsterdamand its absolutely amazing! Staying again, hell yes!

Everything else was perfect. Great room, a lot of place to put personal belongings in the room. However what bothered me the most is that a cleaning lady entered my room in the morning without knocking, and I was changing:(
