Basic room but the price was right.
Kind of a bare bones hotel but the room was clean and comfortable. Only coffee in the lobby, vague smell of cigarettes in the hall and some noise from nearby rooms but I slept ok. Staff was pleasant but could tell this place doesn't cater to a very classy clientele because of all the notices posted in the lobby.

Bathtub wouldn't fill so kids could take a bath and wouldn't empty while showering and there was hair in bath before we showed I found a dirty charger under sheet so sheets were never changed I asked many times to have things fixed I was given a cup of bleach to put to drain in bath!

Manager was rude to us. It was noisy and smoky do to a group that was parting. When we complained and canceled our next night stay, we were told we couldn't get a refund. We stayed at a Redroif in Kentucky that we loved, so thought this one would be similsr. We were very, very disappointed.

The room was clean, basic & recently renovated. Fine for the cost & location, but not my favorite. I had to request housekeeping 2x, by placing the placard on the door, and it was skipped once. I also had to request extra towels & washcloths because they didn’t refresh/replenish. Every time I requested at the front desk I was asked to bring the others back, which I stated were on the floor since they were dirty.

Ended stay early
Checking in went well but once we were in the room, you can definitely see poor quality of work during their renovation. Above the mirror in the bathroom, we had exposed wiring, bathroom tiles were not correctly cut revealing a water trap near the bathtub. We were supposed to stay 4 days but after coming back to our room the next day after our activities, we found ants all over the place and decided to check out early.

In fairness this is a 2 star hotel, however it is below in my opinion a 2 star rating. There is a terrible smell in hallways and in the room, possibly from smokers even though the property is listed as non-smoking. When we checked in a couple with no luggage quickly checked into another room. Several rooms appeared to be occupied by construction or contractors (they all arrived around 5pm) Someone outside my window, where my car was parked within view of my window was smoking some sort of pipe for about 2 hrs 1am -3 am. The room across from us was very noisey, had several people coming and going and smelt like they where smoking something. In fairness management appeared to toss the people out of the room sometime around 3am. I'm not sure if this is strictly the motel problem or something with Findlay itself. We stayed last minute at this place due to a snow storm. I would never return again even if offered free room and spending money. I think this hotel should be removed from expedia.

Unpleasantly surprised
Was an ok looking hotel on site but a little more worn when we got there. It was 12 degrees outside and room heater was off. We tried to turn on heater but wouldnt turn on.heater/a/c unit had no insulation around it and we could see the outside!!!!!at least a 1/4 inch gap along side of air unit letting in that freezing cold air! Got desk person and he didnt address the large gap letting cold air in!! Unplugged heater /a/c unit with switch on and replugged it in and it sparked then started to run and was very loud! It was 130 am we were tired and just went to sleep..was not as advertised...maybe a 2 star hotel that was pitched as a 4star.. update the shorted heater a/c units !! They are faulty!!!SHORTED! FIRE HAZARDS!

Do not stay here! There was a roach in my bathroom, and when I picked up the mattress to look for bed bugs (I do this for every hotel) underneath was dirt, dust bunnies, and trash. The walls are thin and either someone tried to enter my room while I was sleeping during the day (I work nights and was here for a contract job) or someone was banging in the hall. I asked to check out after night 1, and the owner was horrible! He refused to cancel the last 4 days of my visit and called me a liar. Said I was making it all up. He made me feel very unsafe and I contacted Expedia and they didn’t help either (though they tried) and I ended up eating the 400 dollars and going to another hotel.

Hotel was very dirty and smokey and our sink didn’t drain. Pets are allowed and there was hair everywhere. I will never stay at a Red Roof again.

It was easy to find. There were places for fast food. Unusual neighborhood. The bed was ok and the linens were clean. Very noisy and the door to the room was not well fitted. There was grass for our dog and the tv was good.
