The only downside I’d say was that I could hear all the noise from the upstairs room, someone screaming (as if they had a panic attack) at 3 am for a few nights in a row. Very strange. Other than that, it’s a lovely hotel with a good restaurant. "

"Firstly, this was the comfiest bed we've ever slept in. Comfy and cosy little escape which we really enjoyed. Used as a base for a few days to visit and perforn at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, which was only 25 minutes away by train. The decor of the property was tasteful and the whole feeling was one of private seclusion despite being in a fairly busy area. Kitchen had everything you need for knocking up a quick meal, and the welcome pack of teas and coffees was welcome. Would recommend."

"We had a quick overnight stay to break up a long journey and booked here so we could explore the area. In particular the Kelpies which according to Expedia is a short walk from the hotel. This isn’t true. It’s over an hour to walk and about 20 minutes in the car. Lovely hotel, superb big bed which was very comfortable. Staff very nice and dining options were good. "
