"Pool is amazing...giant, great views. There are families there, so if you don't like kids or need a break from yours, probably move on. Food was mid and staff was a little tired, probably short staffed at the end of the summer. Little things. The beach is right there, quick walk, great restaurants nearby. Sunsets were some of the best I've seen as were the views of the cliffs. A little quiet slice of paradise for a few days."

"The hotel was old world beautiful and directly on the beach with the most gorgeous views Buffet Breakfast in the morning was excellent and you could take it outside and eat with a breathtaking view. The pool was nice, nothing too special but clean and never had a problem getting a lounge. No staff served at the pool automatically which was a little disturbing but tolerable if you looked for someone to help you they would come. Overall our stay was fantastic and I would recommend The Albatroz to everyone"

"The hotel is ideally located. It has a splendid sea view. Easily walkable to the town and the Inferno. The rooms are wonderful and quiet. The service is highly attentive. The breakfast was excellent too (just lacking citrus). Highly recommend and will definitely return."

"Louis (concierge desk) is very attentive and helpful ...a very pleasant person... I wish all staff were like him.... Breakfast can definitely improve,never ready at 7:30 like advertised, and more courteous staff will be a nice touch.. I did notice a different treatment between English speakers and Spanish or Portuguese speakers...(Unfortunately) Air conditioning is almost inexistente at least in my room 403 The place need a urgent lifting, doors, Mattress,bathrooms, elevators.... I do understand that the decor its purposefully kept on the antique side but still it could be done without loosing that side... The hotel in general its ok but far from great at least not until some kind of renovation and staff training its done... But it has so much potential to be a great ...a really great hotel....then I won't hesitate to come back..."
