The Casa Vela is simply lovely. The room we stayed in was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was well provisioned. But the best thing about the hotel fir me was the garden - set on various levels, with pools and open spaces, it was perfect to relax in.

The check-in process was simple, and the property was beautiful and well maintained. Reminded us of our family's home and that is why we stayed there. We will return again, as the rooms were very peaceful. They should notify their clients that they only have street parking (paid), but maybe offer guest passes in the future. Their outdoor spaces are excellent, and we used their sauna and resting area for all the nights we were there. The deep tissue massage by Marta was professionally done and I would consider again in the future. We stayed in the Lavandar room.

The entire stay was very nice- grounds were beautiful and clean, room was very nice, and it was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was an add-on, which we don’t use, but it looked good. For all guests, they have complimentary hot drinks and small snacks during the day. It’s very close to town (10 min walk to shops/restaurants or the rocky area overlooking the ocean) Early check-in was mentioned online, but don’t expect to get your room early. We had to wait until 4pm to get our room, but we could walk the grounds until then. The only negative thing we noticed was the pools- there was a green film building up on the sides of both and dirt at the bottom. The ducks would swim in the cooler pool during the day.

The beautiful rooms and serene gardens was just what I needed for a relaxing birthday trip. The weather altered some of my plans for our stay in Cascais but the amazing massage at the spa and time in the sauna was exactly the pampering I needed for my birthday. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The daily breakfast was good, lots of options. The hotel is about a 10 mins walk into town, we found some very lovely restaurants and shops in town.

Casa Vela is so beautiful, the grounds are absolutely lovely! We had a very comfortable room with a large balcony overlooking the gardens. Breakfast is an excellent buffet and coffee, tea and cake are available all day. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location is a short walk into town or to the stunning coastline.
