「It didn’t start well when I was left waiting an hour due to a room mix up. I booked and had confirmation for a twin room but was told they only had a single room. The manager did try & help but it was a hotel mistake and not mine. Eventually, was offered a double room on the top floor. The lift didn’t work and the communal areas were so tired. A smell of a certain substance was awful & the main reception area was dirty and tired. The bin was overflowing and loads of flies were around this area....

「I stayed here in January for one night and it was a great find. I have just returned for end of May Bank Holiday and had a great time. The Rooms are nice and clean, food is good and the grounds and gardens are amazing. It's a really dog friendly hotel as well.」

「What a lovely place! Spotless, well appointed room with simple, fresh decor. Bathroom also nicely done, with fabulous fluffy towels. Breakfast was super tasty with a great selection of options. And the hosts are really lovely; helpful and friendly without being overly attentive. Not far from either Torquay and Torre stations so great for those not using a car, though parking was also available. Highly recommend and will be staying again next time I’m down in Torquay.」

「Fantastic location overlooking the harbor. Communications were excellent and quick. Parking was quite easy. Our room was small, but that's normal in the UK. Breakfast was delicious. So many nice places to eat in Brixham. We had dinner at La Petite Maison and it was excellent.」
