"So peaceful and relaxing for a one night stay. Staff very helpful, any extras required for the room, ie pillows, herbal teas, extra towels were provided on asking. Restaurant staff were very obliging in providing off-menu requests. Spa area was clean and a nice treat. A large facility to maintain and the Staff do a great job."

"Nice rooms in a great location. Breakfast was really good. Beware which room you are allocated as we were just above a function room and had thumping music till midnight. Not great to not be told prior and asked if that was OK (which it wasn't!) Guess many of those at the function would have been staying at the hotel so would have been better to allocate nearby rooms to them. No staff to speak to when we checked out so could not pass on our disappointment"

The Corn Mill Lodge Hotel

The Corn Mill Lodge Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"What an amazing find. Just outside of Leeds with plenty of free parking, this gem was more than welcoming after a long day on the road. Check-in was easy and we were expected. The chap couldn’t have been more helpful, more friendly and more informative. He sent us on our way telling us he was about to go and help an elderly gentleman out of the bath he was stuck in - going beyond the role. The room was spacious and clean and we had everything we needed. Bed was fabulous. Breakfast was better than any ‘chain hotel’ I’ve stayed in - freshly cooked, well maintained and huge variety. The staff were attentive and kept everything well stocked and clean. This hotel is a one off. Family owned and well run, they add a personal touch to every element of your stay. Yes, some may say the hotel is dated but I’d rather a retro look to the modern soulless grey everything. This hotel looked the business and nothing was out of place. Well done guys, we will be back."

DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa

8/10 Good
"A fabulous stay. The delicious cookies on arrival were a lovely surprise and our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our one night stay including shampoo, conditioner and shower gel! The spa was beautiful and so relaxing and the breakfast was great value for the price. Great location with easy walking distance to the beautiful town of Harrogate. Bar staff were very chatty and attentive but we found the reception staff not that friendly and also breakfast staff failed to get our hot drinks on arrival. Would be useful to have spa times and a spa menu with massages etc in the room. Overall a lovely relaxing stay! Would definitely return."
