「Such a wonderful slice of heaven. Definitely visit this property. The staff were fantastic & so helpful. A bottle of sparkling wine at the pool was €18 and absolutely delicious. The breakfast omelette was delightful, the dinner was delicious. The pool was sensational, such a lovely place to be. Book it! We had a vineyard suite, the Manor House ones seemed further away. 」

「We have stayed at Torel for two nights in July. This was a to celebrate special occasion and it was worth it. The hotel is on hills where the Douro (Port) wine grapes are cultivated and it has a beautiful view of this world heritage site. The room is very comfortable. The hotel has two restaurants. Both are good but the smaller one (Schisto) is a really good (soon to be)Michelin star restaurant. Really worth the experience. 」

「The property is so tranquil and relaxing with beautiful views of the valley & river. The hosts Paul & Valeria made us feel so welcome. Very friendly and helpful with all our needs. With only 4 rooms currently, the place is intimate and at times all to yourself. Beautiful infinity pool, wood burning hot tub & sauna all with outstanding views. I would love to return when everything is in bloom. Highly recommend Quinta de Raj!! 」
