Nice hotel with room facing river. Parking is a challenge at peak times since at marina and narrow driveway; however, ended up with street parking both nights. Restaurant requires reservation. Area to reach hotel is beautiful but be aware rural narrow roads. Overall, nice quiet stay outside city.

Location on the river and scenery were lovely. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, however could do with having tea and coffee making facilities in them and also having an iron and ironing board available (the reception said they did not have any at the hotel!).

The property is beautiful and straddles the Douro River. The roads are not really walkable - narrow, no sidewalks. The breakfast was great. The restaurants lunch and dinner was mediocre. The restaurant did face the beautiful Douro River and had tremendous views. The rooms were nice but not special.

Quiet and peaceful

What can I say about this hotel it’s set in the beautiful Douro valley on the river front surrounded by the mountains, in Porto Antigo, the staff are very friendly and helpful the bar is well stocked and the food is very good. We would definitely recommend it and will return in the future.

This hotel is beautiful ! The hotel staff was absolutely amazing ! Manuela made our trip , she was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond to help us get to the hotel , emailing us train info , contacting a cab to pick us up at the train . The day we wanted to tour the area she once again organized transportation and recommendations for the area . Her English was perfect ( very helpful for the Americans) The view from this property where gorgeous ! The weather was a bit cool so we didn’t get to use the pool but it couldn’t have looked more lovely. Great food and great service. We will be back

Fínt hótel en stendur ekki undir 4 stjörnum. Léleg, hæg þjónusta á síðdegisbarnum, ekki til stólar við öll borðin úti og ekki hægt að fá allt sem stóð á kokteil listanum. Góð þjónusta við innritun. Góður morgunmatur. Umhverfið frábært en lítil sem engin þjónusta í nágreninu. Útsýnið yndislegt. Skemmtilegur bíltúr til og frá.
