「Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. We hadn’t met the owner, so decided it was easier just to clean them both before using them. On the hole, everything else was excellent. 「The Punchbowl Inn was a lovely pub to stay at, the staff were very friendly, the food was amazing. The room was lovely and had a fantastic view of the dales. If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a shower curtain or screen over the bath as using the shower head I tended to flood the floor, but the water was lovely and hot. and I would return again.」

「A lovely country pub, with excellent, beautifully cooked food. The hosts are exceptionally helpful and friendly, and couldn’t do enough for us. Very dog friendly - we were able to have our Labrador with us when we ate in the bar. Bedroom quite small, but manageable. Situated in a really beautiful area, and within easy reach of Richmond, which is an interesting, historical town with lots to see and do. 」

「Handy location to Durham and countryside. Clean cozy and friendly clear communications. Nice touch to have some supplies available on arrival. Felt unclear where to park as other locals parked up but I’m sure it would have been clear should I have asked.」
