"The rooms are freshly done up and look good. The road is noisy but bearable. It is not the best area or the best hotel but good for a night. The receptionist lady was charming on arrival, really good front of house. Area was safe and car was too"

"I am writing to urgently bring a serious security and customer service issue to your attention. At approximately 2:00 AM on Thursday, May 28th, I was awakened by someone knocking loudly on my door for a minute, followed by continuous banging for about 10 minutes. I was extremely frightened and immediately called the front desk, but no one answered. Five minutes later, the same individual returned and banged on my door for another 10 minutes. The next morning at 7:30 AM, I reported this terrifying incident to the duty manager, Vincent F. He made me wait in the lobby for 40 minutes to check the security footage, only to tell me he couldn't find anything because he "accidentally looked at the wrong footage"—which is highly unprofessional given that I clearly stated my room number. When I returned to the hotel that evening, another staff member, Mallory, gave me a completely conflicting story. She stated that according to Vincent's notes, it was just a DoorDash driver who knocked on the wrong door. It is completely absurd to claim that a delivery driver would violently bang on a door for over 20 minutes at 2:00 AM. I strongly believe the hotel staff is lying to cover up a major security failure and their failure to answer an emergency guest call. I am requesting that Hotels.com takes the following actions immediately: 1 Issue a full refund for my 4-night stay due to the severe breach of safety protocols and terrible customer service. 2. Provide additional compensation points ."

"The area around this property is undergoing road construction and the hotel itself is also undergoing some construction and refurbishment. Cabana area was closed entirely for our visit (you could see the construction work going on in that area). Property was otherwise clean and nice. You could see, at one time, that this was likely a premiere destination. We had the honor of seeing a wedding happening on the day we checked in. The attendees and participants all seemed to be having a great day (we wish the happy couple well). Hopefully the road construction and road detours are completed soon so visitors will no longer be impacted, and hopefully the hotel completes its own renovations to attain the high level it seems to be striving for."

"The property is very clean, although obviously aged. I loved having the option to wash my clothes in the laundry area. However, I didnt take advantage of it because I was too tired to travel the distance. The room amenities were great: a full size refrigerator with freezer, two-burner stovetop, microwave, full size coffee pot, sink, dish drainer, and even a perfect bread toaster! It had a 2-person dinette set, great working air conditioner, and a soft queen size bed. I prefer a more firm mattress, but it was sufficient as a resting place. The bathroom was clean and ample, and the flat screen TV had correctly colored images and worked great. The price for this room was inexpensive. It was worth every penny i paid. I do admit being alarmed at having to interact with a staff person by way of a monitor instead of with a real person. The man was professional, well dressed, and "dry" (not friendly nor welcoming). I was also alarmed that a $100 deposit was required; and when I paid it, the monitor man could not provide a reciept for my cash. That caused me some anxiety for a while. But the following day, i found a real person in the lobby who was friendly and welcoming. He returned the $100 deposit. Since no one checked my room for damage or theft before returning the money, i wondered what the purpose was for holding that much deposit. Neverthless, i recommend this hotel for its cleanliness and amenities."
