"Large dated hotel, smaller rooms and not great sound proofing. Super friendly staff, great location to access local amenities. Only valet parking was available for a hefty fee. Clean surroundings and felt incredibly safe and inviting to explore around town at any hour. "

"The staff was excellent—very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Unfortunately, the room itself felt quite run down. Not all the garbage was emptied, and some surfaces didn’t appear to be fully cleaned. The cabinet around the mini fridge was damaged, and the mattress seemed like it could use replacing. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, but many of the chairs there were peeling and in need of repair. Overall, the service was great, but the property could really benefit from some updates and more thorough cleaning."

"Property looks like a resort our room was clean, bed and pillows are comfortable, but the bathroom was small. Housekeeping came every day. Indoor pool and hot tub fantastic! Free parking Hotel does put a $150 hold on your credit card each day you stay but will release charge upon departure. Overall good experience and will return!"

"This was the perfect place to stay while we were in town to see the Detroit Red Wings play the Pittsburgh Penguins at PPG Paints Arena. We parked overnight at US Steel Tower Garage (44 Bigelow Ave), which was right across from the hotel, and then could easily walk to the hotel from there. We then walked 5 mins to the arena to see the game. The hotel was quiet and very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. It was a nice stay and the suite we stayed was a great place to hang out for the evening. We did not get breakfast or dinner but there is a restaurant on site. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay here again. "

"The room was great, breakfast was as expected, everything was clean and well stocked. Check-in took awhile. The front-desk lady seemed a little frazzled and appeared to to be struggling with the computer system, but eventually we got our keycards. Holiday Inn Express is our favorite one-night hotel to stay at when we are on road trips due to consistent experience and good value."
