Other than that a perfectly good stay other than with the room bath not having a plug they had to give me a key to a 2nd room as they were unable to find a spare bath plug"

"This is was a very good hotel in a great location. The staff were fabulous and very helpful. It was a 5 minute walk into the centre of town. I would definitely stay there again. Half price parking was great. We ate at the hotel a couple of times and the soup was delicious. "

"I was honestly a bit nervous about staying here, mainly because I'm a solo female traveller so staying anywhere unfamiliar is a little nerve wracking but also because of a few bad reviews. I stayed overnight as I was going on a long hike and needed somewhere to stay so I wasn't travelling back too late. The hotel held my luggage before check in then promptly handed it back when I was ready to check in, and they even held it again after check out so I could explore the city luggage free before my coach home. I was pleasantly surprised that I was on the top floor, as I am a big fan of the views and of quietness. They also had a couple of extras in the mini fridge for me for free and said it was an upgrade, maybe because I'm a new customer, but either way, it was a nice surprise. The shower didn't work, or at least, I couldn't figure it out, but the bath taps ran so I had a bath instead which was fine, the hot water ran which is all I needed after a long hike. For a three star hotel, I was pleased with everything and it was all clean. I didn't sleep the best as I was so nervous being on my own which is a shame because the beds were so comfy and the room was so big. As I plan to come to Sheffield again, I'd definitely rebook Great Western Hotel, in the hopes every room was like this one, and knowing there is nothing to worry about, so I'll sleep soundly. "We stayed for a night and had a really lovely time there. We enjoyed their spa facilities and the delicious breakfast! The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. Our 17 year old boys had tons of fun in their games room playing table tennis, snooker and giant kerplunk and also played tennis outside. We will definitely be back to visit! "
