The 1770 House Restaurant is a very nice B&B. The restaurant was terrific. We had dinner there. My one reservation is that there was no hot breakfast (other than toasted items) during our stay (from Sunday to Wednesday). The continental breakfast consisted of items that were refrigerated but tasty.

Beautiful building! Wonderful and historic. Lovely furnishings, delicious buffet breakfast, immaculate room with pressed sheets! Very accommodating staff, especially Molly and Randy. Loved the 1770 House. Will definitely return.

Great bed and breakfast! Very attentive staff, nice and quiet, adorable rooms, good location. Restaurant is great also, best deserts I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

Lovely small inn in beautiful settings, traditional but very lovely, clean and cosy, we had amazing dinner in the hotel restaurant, great service, hotel is short stroll to the centre of the village, level mile walk to the beach. Brilliant escape from NYC

Cleaning ladies were not so nice without smile. The shower cap is empty. But receptionists were nice and helpful. Generally speaking it is a lovely place

The 1770 house is absolutely lovely. My room was comfortable, well appointed, and well decorated. The overall inn has wonderful historic charm. Staff were friendly and attentive in helping plan my stay; and offered great local tips. Didn’t have dinner but included breakfast was yummy. Ask for Randi if you don’t have the chance to meet her. She is warm and wonderful!

Very nice staff. We had a beautiful room. Very clean and accommodating. The room had plenty of storage and was well supplied. The continental breakfast was ok. The location is great! Just a short walk into town.

Beautiful antiques, comfortable, excellent food—hot breakfast on weekends, continental weekdays but plentiful. Room small but immaculate. Highlight was the staff. They went above and beyond to be helpful, warm and friendly.

This is hands down the best place to stay in the Hamptons. Great location and the restaurant is top notch gourmet. This was my first stay at the facility and the rooms are sizable and tasteful. I’ll be back….

Absolutely charming and historic!! Loved my stay at The 1770 House, and my meals at the Tavern downstairs. The service was IMPECCABLE while unpretentious, and I was quickly accommodated with any and all requests. Highly recommend if you are out East and want a TRUE Hamptons stay.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the 1770 House. This was our first time visiting the Hamptons and the inn keeper was very helpful with finding things we might be interested in doing. I appreciated her phone call before we arrived to ensure we'd have everything we needed when we arrived. We had dinner in the tavern one night and the meal was spectacular. Some of the inn keeper's recommendations for activities were actually closed (not opened for the season or bc of covid restrictions), which we found out after doing more research. The breakfast was delicious, however, it took over 60 minutes on the first day and there was a lack of communication about why. We thought about going elsewhere the next day but gave it another chance and it was much faster on the second day of our stay. The room was clean and comfy, perfect for our two night stay. The location is great and we enjoyed the short walk to town. I would recommend this inn.

The entire 1170 House experience was of 5 Star quality from pre stay conversations with Randye through the two day stay. All members of the staff were welcoming and professional giving exceptionally service and suggestions to enhance our stay. The Inn is lovely and spotlessly kept. Both restaurants, the Tavern and main dinning room offer delicious selections, and the wait staff is well trained and congenial! I highly recommend this gem for a relaxing experience.
