Very nice accommodation!

The host, Romana, has been very helpful and friendly. Reply to emails was quick. I arrived earlier than expected and the time I told them, but Romana rushed back to open the door for me, also allowed me for early check-in after the room is ready. Totally appreciated! Location is great and very close to the Pile Gate; easy to find and great access to every spot inside the old town. Absolutely recommend this place.

Good location

The hotel is located in the old city, which makes sightseeing and dining very easy. The room is rather small but we are happy with the stay in general.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Barbara was the best host, with great communication and helpful information to make the most of our short break. The location is fantastic, it’s a great base to explore the wonderful sights of Dubrovnik

Nice location within the walls of Dubrovnik. 45 steps up to the 3rd floor (no rooms on first floor). A little noisy in the middle of the night/early morning with the trash bins being moved over the cobblestone walks.

I cannot recommend this property enough. When I booked it, I was immediately notified on it's location, instructions on how to get there and contact information for them. My flight to Dubrovnik was cancelled due to weather and I was unable to connect to the internet to contact them. No worry, when we landed back in Munich, they had already contacted ME, wished me well and hoped to see me the next day! Upon arriving a day late, someone was there to greet me, give me my key, show me the room and take my contact information and told me to get in touch if there was anything I needed! They made me feel like I was staying at my best friend's house! The property is in the middle of Old Town, convenient to EVERYTHING! They offer private transportation from the airport. The stairs and desk area were always spotless. The room itself was beautiful and had more amenities than described on Expedia. I had a double bed, incredible A/C unit that was also quiet, a small refrigerator, a hot water kettle, tea and coffee, a hair dryer and iron and more than enough extra towels and bedding. Everything in the room worked well - hot water was immediate. Although noisy at night (you ARE in the middle of Old Town, so what do you expect?), the windows are double paned, and with the hum of the A/C. I heard no outside noise! I was contacted several times during my eight day stay to see if I had any questions or needed anything! I will GLADLY stay here again!

I have never met a staff member more helpful and kind than Barbara in reception. She communicated several times with me enroute and gave me excellent directions to the hotel. She helped me to my room and honoured my request for a lower floor room. Never before have I been what’s apples a recommend list of activities and restaurants. It was so lovely to be treated so kindly.

Barbara was very helpful in telling us what to see, about the day pass, recommending restaraunts, and even looked up the airport bus schedule for us! Rooms were clean and spacious, and the pillows were even comfortable. I was travelling with my 80 year old mother, and she found the steps up to the room a bit challenging, but if you're younger than that and in good health, it shouldn't be a problem. In fact, Villa Sigurata is on the same level and just 2 blocks from the main street, so we did not need to go up and down the hundreds of city steps to get to it everytime. Thank you for your hospitality!

ピレ門に近く交通の便は最高です。1day tripをGetYourGuideで頼みましたが集合場所がピレ門付近だったので便利でした。平地にあるので重いスーツケースを持ってホテルを探すのには便利です。ただ部屋は非常に狭いので閉所恐怖症の人にはお勧めしません。バスタオル交換頼んでもやってくれなかったりするので地味にストレス溜まるのが欠点ですかね。

I had a fantastic stay here! It was very easy to get to and is close to the Pile Gate. Barbara was very communicative and made sure my arrival went smoothly and gave instructions on how to get here. The room was clean and had essentials that you needed. I had a later flight during my checkout day and was able to leave my bags there while I still got to enjoy the city. Barbara also organized a ride for me to the airport after my stay which made it easy. I would definitely stay here again, highly recommend!

Wouldn’t recommend

Headline comment: this is not like a traditional hotel. Our biggest issue was the shower, which was a health and safety hazard. There was no thermostat control, so we were scalded badly without warning on more than one occasion. Generally, the owner/manager is very friendly and kindly arranged transfers for us during our stay, which was very much appreciated. However, there was no offer to help transfer luggage to/from the cars through the city, nor up the various flights of stairs inside the building (as would typically be the case with a hotel). This place would not suit anyone with mobility issues. We were advised that the rooms are not cleaned daily. However, ours wasn’t very clean when we arrived either. The towels and bedsheets appeared to have been through a quick rinse in the wash but still had stains on them. There were hairs in the bathroom and watermarks in the shower. The floor was absolutely filthy, including in the communal stairwell, which didn’t appear to have been cleaned during the 3 nights we stayed. Fresh towels have to be specifically requested via WhatsApp because there is no reception service. The rooms are extremely small. Not just by European hotel room standards. My mum and I stayed in a double room and there was zero floor space to open our luggage to look through it, let alone anywhere to actually store our stuff. I think the best thing about this place is its location.
