"Room has an amazing view. Bed and linens were good. Pillows a bit flat. Bathroom needs update. Had to call out the for service about the toilet being clogged twice. Very nice service staff. Had plenty of food options onsite. Overall pretty nice place. A bit on the pricey side though. "

"Usually a convenient place to stay--clean, spacious, quiet. Staff is friendly. Hotel has been doing some much needed renovation. Some room furniture needs repair or replacement. Wifi on my last stay was not working well at all."

"This was an over-night stay to conduct some business in Anchorage. As always we travel together, the Wingate is an older place showing its age, but the rooms were clean, the staff friendly and helpful. The shuttle service was great as many of the local hotels no longer provide this service, it makes Wingate a go to for those without wheels. All in all I would stay again, although it's not my first choice when in Anchorage. "

"The staff and inside conditions were good. However, being outside the executive airport, busy highway, and never ending Alaskan days (4:30 am to 11 pm) make sleeping difficult. Off property you’re in the hood … guys on the corner selling dry goods and drinking from brown paper bags. 😬"

"When we arrived late at night after a long flight we were met at the door by a man that told us the hotel was closed for renovations. What a shock to find out you don't have a hotel rooom in the middle of high season. He said someone should have called us to let us know. We did not get that call. He said we could go across the street to the Captain Hook Hotel for a room, which is owned by the same owner. We went there and they offered us a room for a higher rate than I had booked at the...
