「The main thing to be said about our stay at the poltimore is that the staff really couldnt do enough for you. So attentive and lovely. The room was clean, spacious and had a stunning view of the countryside. The water sometimes ran brown, but this is probably the only negative comment to be said. Food has always been very nice here. 「Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay 」

「This was a return visit as we loved the friendly staff and locals. Special treat for our Irish Wolfhound because my wife was on antibiotics so timing meant she couldn't have her breakfast... so guess who got it instead. Very happy dog though I think the chef felt his skills were not being tested given she likes her eggs raw. So yes they are very dog friendly, and the food for us humans was excellent as well.」
