"This is a hidden gem. We were there for one night and didn’t get to use everything there was to offer. Hopefully we will be back. GPS does not take you to the correct check in. For us it was across the street."

"The owners and our wonderful breakfast maker are very helpful, welcoming and friendly. It's a very nice place to stay while enjoying the many hikes in the area (Rainbow Falls, etc.). Comfort was great except that our room and bathroom were a bit crowded for my husband who is larger. The walls are thin if you have neighbors. The facilities are relaxing and nice. We enjoyed a nice (expensive) Italian meal at a fine restaurant next door. "

"Charming old-style inn with a nice hot breakfast. Friendly staff that went out of their way to help move our booking to another room when the cabin A/C went out a day before we arrived. We only stayed for a night, but we would definitely stay here again next time we are in Franklin!"

"I decided to do a quick trip to the mountains and thought it would be fun to check out the Dillard House. We went as a family to eat at the Dillard House often growing up. Their meals, served family style, offer delicious choices and it brought back a lot of great memories. I knew the property had recently been sold and was undergoing renovations. I was surprised to see the main restaurant facility was being completely renovated and not currently open. They did a good job of signage on the property to direct you to check in and to the restaurant currently open in their conference center. The food was still great, the staff was friendly and the room I stayed in was very clean, well furnished, albeit a bit dated but scheduled to be renovated, quiet, and very comfortable with a beautiful view of the horse pasture. I spoke with the F&B manager who said they should be back in the newly renovated restaurant by the fall and shared all the other plans for construction and redevelopment. I was also glad to hear a member of the Dillard family is still involved with the property. I will definitely go back to check it out after the renovations are completed. It's a great memory from childhood and glad to see it still being taken care of and made better for the future."

"Celebrated our 44 th wedding anniversary and absolutely would come here again! Loved the views , the amenities, front desk and housekeeping were very kind and accommodating of our requests. Loved the Marina Station restaurant. Loved the grouper meal and view from our table so nice! Great memories! "
