Two issues: Exterior of the property could use a clean-up; the exterior is littered with junk and debris. And, I don’t understand why the front desk took a photograph of my driver’s license when I had paid in advance via Expedia. Nevertheless the room itself was clean, quiet and comfortable.

Traveled with our family of four for a long weekend. We loved the peaceful setting and spent our nights around the firepit eating s'mores! Our days featured short trips to Andrews for a railbike tour and a stop at Nantahala Outdoor Center. Communication was great, and the owners were very attentive. ...

We had a great time visiting Highlands for the first time. We were celebrating our 32nd anniversary and this cottage was the perfect little retreat. Very well decorated, very well stocked with all the necessities and some courteous extras.
