"20 min drive from Kernville, in “ the middle of nowhere “. Begin April Google maps message was that it was unreachable, closed road, which was not the case. Some rooms with nice view in the back. Basic, kitchenette is helpful. Clean except for wear and tear that comes with older amenities. Possibility to do/ have laundry done. Overall good if you are looking for something of the beaten path."

"The Hillstone hotel provided us with a heart warming experience. The room was clean and very comfortable. We had a microwave, mini refrigerator and a work table. The pool was clean, we received pool towels for our family, the customer service was excellent and check in took literally 30 seconds. Breakfast was included and it was amazing because they provided a full breakfast buffet.
