「Overall a good stay. Location was perfect, and to have parking was a real plus. The check in process is easy enough-if you get given the correct code to access your room key. However, this was rectified quickly. Cleanliness was okay, floors had not been done very well-lots of crumbs and debris in kitchen, balcony had not been brushed or cleaned in awhile as evident by the amount of bird droppings on the furniture. 「The pros: really good value for money and a very affordable single room - by far the lowest price when I was booking, highly accessible location near the connection of the two main A roads in the area, characterful ancient building with a pub and beer garden on ground floor stocking local ales, quaint village setting and public square to the front, it's not actually on the main road itself so outside noise wasn't too bad with the window open. The downsides: the reception or check-in is not...

「Looked ok in reception but that’s as good as it got , very out dated and not a great deal worked in the room . Very nearly boiled the kettle for a coffee in the morning before looking in it . Never seen anything like that before . When reeling off the stuff wrong with the room the staff were not bothered at all . Was charged £130 for the night and wouldn’t have paid £30 if I had a choice .」

「We had previously eaten at this hotel and were so impressed that we decided pay another visit and stay the night. We were not disappointed. The room was excellent. Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. 「A small newly renovated room . Comfortable bed. Lovely indoor pool but very busy , they need to introduce swimming times. Did not try outdoor pool as weather not brill . Need a lift . 」

「The hotel was gorgeous with amazing gardens, perfect for a dog owner as lovely gardens. Beautiful 」

「The Lodge was clean and presented well. However lounge furniture especially chair needed cleaning on the arms. Staff very helpful when i lost earring down the bathroom sink. However one thing not done after being highlighted was road night lights not working. We extended our stay as well.」

「A last minuet birthday break for my wife. Usually like contempory hotels but this quaint beautiful hotel was amazing. Beautiful decor comfy bed and amazing staff who could not do enough for you. We had milk in the room instead of using the pot cream... they even brought a little fridge for in and on the next night the fridge had a new bottle of milk.. absolutely amazing staff. 11 out of 10 and thank you for making our stay so pleasurable. Will hope to return. Thank you RP.」
