Couldn't be better in anyway. Room was very clean and updated, hosts were friendly and breakfast was excellent, especially the French Toast with fruit compote on it.

We loved the setting, right in the heart of Long Melford within walking distance of notable historic buildings (Melford and Kentwell Halls, the Medieval Church) and local sops, pus and restaurants. The Mil itself is perfect!

Outstanding. Everything and all staff and waters all are outstanding. No words can describe my satisfaction. Probably the best sleep i got since a very long time in an organic heritage hotel very quiet and warm town. All TV and coffee bar are modern and clean and convenient. I really liked the biscuits made by the chief in the room with a cup of coffee ar 6:00 am overlooking a peaceful and historic 1600s downtown. The Marquis has just completed renovations, and while there were a few teething problems, the staff was wonderful. They could not have done more to make our stay wonderful. Special shout out to David, Ryann, Lucy, Emma, Kate, Annabelle, Carmin, and everyone else we came in contact with, all were wonderful.
The spa and pool were not even mentioned as they just opened, the facility is one of the best we ever visited, again with the staff to match.
We are looking forward to our next stay.

Clean property and very pleasant staff. We paid for the breakfast but didn’t have an opportunity to use it due to our schedule. Loved the heated towel rack in the bathroom.

We had a big party staying here for a family wedding nearby. I don’t usually do these reviews but the Elveden was just outstanding. The place is lovely with nice rooms and a great lounge, bar and restaurant, but it was the staff who made this special. Friendly, competent and endlessly helpful dealing with our group, including arranging two large dinners at short notice. Strongly recommended!

I cannot say enough good things about this visit. We were exhausted from our trip and they just were amazing and made us feel great. This place was so rejuvenating and I didn’t even get a chance to try their spa. Their attention to every little detail was awesome. I strongly urge anyone going to Ipswich to stay at this hotel. I wish I could have spent my entire trip there. It is modern in regard to the bathrooms, which I love!, they have air conditioning, everything is spotless,...
