「The beauty and unique history of the property」

「Interior and exterior needs updating.」

「It was a very nice and clean room.」

「I've debated writing this review, but I need to say that the place is just not safe. I had to move rooms twice because the door locks didn't work and the ground-floor window wouldn't close... let alone lock. And that's not even talking about the beer bottle caps left on the room floor, the general layer of filth everywhere, the wet towels left from the previous guest, the rusted out showerhead, or the mouse poop behind the nightstand. 「The hotel is unique inside and out. I can only imagine the difficulties maintaining a building of this age. The room was clean, but typical of any hotel, not really special. They have a beautiful dining room that apparently only gets used for special events. There was no restaurant, no place to eat inside. They have two beautiful spaces that could be used for a happy...

「The hotel has a nice restaurant, bar area and outside firepit area. Everything seemed clean and neat. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that I booked a room with two double beds via Expedia and received a confirmation back that the room had two double beds. 「Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!」
