「We chose this location because of the nice finishes and great location. While the apartment was generally if a high standard, the toilets are located in the bedrooms and not in the lounge communal area. The sliding door to the toilet/shower room has a 1cm gap all around, offering no privacy for those in the toilet nor in the bedroom. A little awkward for everyone.」

「Whale Rock Lodge is a lovely place. Very much a home away from home. Staff welcoming and efficient. We had a room in The Villa; a separate building to main house with it's own entrance and car park but only 30 steps to main building. The room and bathroom were large with fridge & tea/coffee making facilities. Good sized balcony with comfortable seating. 「Sehr schöne und einladende Unterkunft, mit einem angenehm persönlichen Flair. Checkin war super und wir wurden gleich gefragt wie wir gerne unser Frühstück am nächsten Tag hätten. Außerdem haben wir viele gute Tipps für Hermanus und auch für unsere weiter Fahrt bekommen. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können es wärmsten weiterempfehlen! ☀️」

「The hotel suffers an identity crisis. It positions itself as holiday resort but is actually mode a conference/events centre. Very noisy and not so classy neighbours disturbed our afternoon rest as well as late night sleep. I pity anyone who thought they could relax there in the evening because there were two noisy disco booming functions till midnight. The old world charm is no longer for this destination.」
