「The a/c didn't work on a hot summer night. Only one little window can be open but didn't help, other windows were sealed.... other guests opened and came into the room due to double booking in the middle of the night!」

It is more like a self-service hotel with electric oven, dish washer and so on so you can cook simple food if you like.
