10/10 Excellent

"Good sized clean room with a quality bed and reasonable size TV. The bathroom had been recently refitted to a good standard. The walk in shower cubicle was greta, although the water pressure was very disappointing. A la carte evening 3 course meals were reasonably priced for Jersey (£28.50 for 3 courses), well varied, good quality and massive portions! Breakfast was also very good quality. Restaurant and reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Ample and easy on-site parking and a good central location - overall great!"

"The hotel itself was lovely. Rooms were clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly. What they do fail to tell you or show on their website is that they are on a hill so there is a steep drive up to the car park/hotel entrance. It is well situated and only a 20 minute walk from the town centre. However when walking back you have to be prepared to walk up the steps to the hotel entrance which are doable but you will feel it if you're not particularly fit or have mobility constraints. The hotel does provide a shuttle into town but didn't seem to provide one back which would have been a great help. However, we would happily stay there again."

"If you're looking for a traditional friendly family-run Jersey hotel, you'll really like the Norfolk.The warm welcome is there the moment you walk through the door. We paid a very fair price for our double room on second floor (via lift or stairs) which included breakfast. Room bigger than I had imagined with lots of wardrobe and cupboard storage. Town view from window with a partial view of the entrance to the Howard Davis Park. It's a spacious hotel with lots of sofas and small rooms downstairs. There was traditional entertainment in the bar every night: singers, musicians, a comedian etc. Breakfast was included in the large dining room. Maria was our very friendly waitress and it's good to have tea, coffee and toast brought to the table. There is a good choice of juices, cereals and fruit on the breakfast bar and then you put in an order for cooked or continental. You can reserve a table for the evening mea, but we ate out. There's plenty of parking for hotel guests, but we didn't hire a car as the hotel is central and there is a bus stop outside for the excellent Liberty bus service. The rose garden area outside was perfect in the hot weather while we were there and I had a couple of swims in the outdoor unheated pool. Bonus: If you like to print out your boarding passes there is a desktop in reception. The reveiews I had read were just right and I am vry pleased to add to these. An excellent stay at the Norfolk. "The hotel is beautifully located with fabulous views, the only downside was the trek to the nearest bus stop, or rather the trek back uphill. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff from Debora in reception all the way to the charming folk who kept our room clean and well stocked with essentials. The waiting staff always had a smile and nothing was too much bother for them. We enjoyed the food with only one exception which was a Sunday roast and that was swiftly dealt with.. The pool and surrounding area was spotless and well provided with towels and sun loungers, we used it often in the hot weather. All together it was a gloriously relaxing weekwith fabulous weather."
