Lincoln Sands Oceanfront Resort, an Ascend Collection Hotel
4/10 Poor
"Nice warm pool, large (very) large room but no table?? There was multiple spaces for a table and we just had to put our stuff on the floor…. And eat our food on two stools.
Balcony was super small but nice.
Nice to have your own bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room.
Don’t even get me started on the SHOWER … the design makes water get damn near everywhere and you have multiple towels on the floor …. also the rain shower head was installed incorrectly and was leaking/spraying everywhere.
Despite noting we were there for a kids birthday and we came there for the pool, they put us in the farthest room possible. BUT they did get him a cupcake and a bottled lemonade.
BREAKFAST was good but you shouldn’t put “buffet” in the breakfast description…. Biscuits and gravy, good sausages, and you can build it up good enough.
They didn’t have trays for eating breakfast in your room so all I could get was a coffee for my self and the rest for my kid. When I asked Preston … if they have trays he said … “you’ll just have to use your hands” …. Okay… give me a piece of cardboard man… I’ll make it work
I was not about to make that walk again.
SAUNA water was shutoff and sauna was not heating up which is a large reason of why we booked there.
Serious DUST collection in fans.
The bathroom is literally just a toilet and no fan in there. Beware if your staying with a man…
All in all for the over $300 for a Sunday - Monday night booking…. I’m really disappointed.

"The checkin was totally unacceptable. The front desk woman said my room wasn't ready at 4pm, and that she would call me when it was. An hour later, and no call and I encountered the same unprofessional staff member who was unhelpful, argumentative, and couldn't care less about what was going on. I finally got a hold of the cleaning staff and they let me know my room was ready, after 1 hour and 20 minutes of wait time. Check in time at 520pm. Totally unacceptable. "
"Our room was clean, staff was pleasant. The view was great, bed was comfy. There is no a/c but if you open the slide door you get that fresh ocean breeze and hear the waves .Ceiling fans would be a good addition. The jetted tub was a plus. We would stay here again.

"The cafe and restaurant onsite was nice but very slow service. It took 30 minutes for a coffee. We waited for a server to come but ended up getting breakfast elsewhere because she didn’t come over to us. It seemed to be the case for multiple people.
The room was nice, although small. Beautiful ocean view. Nice pool, sauna, and fitness center. Parking is limited especially on weekends. Great access to the beach. We didn’t see a lot of water bottle refill stations.
Upon check-in they said I didn’t book a pet friendly room but definitely did. Although they made an exception, the manager guilt tripped me and kept making comments how they’re making an exception, which I found was very unprofessional. The morning manager upon check out was very lovely and nice so maybe the night time manager had a bad day.
Overall, I don’t think I’d stay here again for the price. I enjoy the BW and the amenities are way better. But if you’re going for more of a classy aesthetic, this is a great place. "
"First there are many stairs. There is not an elevator. Otherwise the entire stay was wonderful. The indoor hot tub and heated pool were lovely after a long, cold beach walk. They have fire pits on the patio just outside of the pool area.
They have a casino shuttle as well. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great, nice varieties."
"The manager/owner was very responsive when I asked for a clean bedspread, as the one in our current room had pet hair all over it. I asked for a clean bedspread and he graciously moved us to a new room that was also an upgrade at no additional charge. Once moved, we found the bathroom floor around the tub and toilet very dirty/moldy, toilet not very clean, plunger had toilet paper from last use, no Kleenexes, broken shower surround, anti-slip mat in tub moldy, barely useable/leaking faucet and shower head. Wall by so k ant toilet had substances on the walls not cleaned after last occupant. Bedside tables had not been cleaned. Both had food/drink residue. Lamps had not been wiped down for some time. Not bad for $70. ☹️"
