"The hotel is beautiful, the location is excellent, and the breakfast frankly superb. I would have rated 5 stars, but the beds' mattress was way too firm for our liking, uncomfortable and made it impossible to get an uninterrupted nights' sleep. "

"Hotel comes with a filled mini fridge for your use. The one negative was they did not have a secure network. For a hotel of this class, I would expect them to have a secure Wi-Fi for their customers to use."

"Lovely hotel with lots of charm and character. Executive suite was spacious and the Executive Lounge had good wine, a few nibbles, and great staff. Service in the room was a little hit and miss, with no replacement toiletries provided, a robe being taken but not replaced, empty wine bottle removed from room but then left outside for 24 hours, used glasses not replaced from morning to night. "Beautifully rennovated hotel with preserved character. Location is perfectly suited to explore all areas of old town Salzburg. We were pleasantly surprised to meet Mr.Imlauer himself,who was extremely hospitable and humble. Would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for couple of days to explore Salzburg."

"Have stayed 3/4 times always enjoy the stay. A bit quirky in a good way and comfortable. Can feel a bit impersonal with self check in/out but staff always helpful if required. Great breakfast and bar area. Very convenient for central Vienna, walking and transport."
