This place was perfect for what we were looking for. It was beach close, peek a boo of the ocean, complimentary breakfast. The staff was pleasant and helpful. They had great communication. The only negative was that the slider did not slide easily likely due to the salty air. We had a great stay!

The king suite is the best room at the property. Beautiful big windows and overlooks the beach. There’s a hot tub and continental breakfast in the morning. It’s roomy for a family of 4. There is a mini fridge and microwave. Not a ton of restaurants in walking distance, but the beach is super close. It’s a short drive to restaurants and stores. Parking is $15 a night.

This place is not safe especially for women. The locks on the doors are broken and they don’t tell you. We had a grown man walk into our room and refuse to leave. The front desk offered no help.

The rooms are sparse, to say the least. Dated would be an understatement (phone was gross and yellowed”. First room was so bad..asked to change. The people close by were smoking weed..permeated to our room. They clearly smoked outside on balcony too…you’re outside enjoy the “view” and have to smell weed. We had to go inside and glide the door..was pretty upset about that. Not a smokeless property even though they say they are. Bed..sheets were great, but bed was so uncomfortable! There was no place to sit or sleep that was comfortable. We ended up taking the plastic Adirondack chairs from outside and bringing the chair inside and putting a blanket over them to sit/sleep comfortably. View..blocked, but still see some of the ocean. Wonderful to hear the ocean at night. Street and train out front are loud. Cleaning…minimal. Towels were “crunchy” but white. Room never cleaned..just did towels, bed, and garbage. Breakfast; waffles, fruit, cereal, yogurt..good. Staff: DJ and Carlos were absolutely amazing! Extremely helpful, kind, professional, and made the stay. Sushi restaurant and Sunset Bar next door were very good. Location: close to everything and within 15 minute drive. However, we were bummed we couldn’t walk across to beach easily. Would I return… honestly? Price for what we got…nope. A bit upset about that.

The picture shows that the room has a private balcony that looks right onto the ocean. Our room you could see the ocean and sit out and watch it, but it was on a shared platform, so there was no privacy.

The pictures on the we sure don’t match. But the amenities were as described and comfortable. Before arrival, the front desk clerk led us to believe the property was beach side. Dana Point is a town wide no smoking policy and when we got to our room the patron next door was smoking weed and cigarettes. Toilet paper is single ply. Furniture needs updating.

It was an absolute great stay, the only complaints were that the room walls were super thin so you could hear everything outside, and that the shower didn’t get as hot as I would have liked. The hot tub on the other hand was one of the hottest I have been in, it was amazing!!

Balcony had ok ocean view. Kitchen was barely functional. Fridge was too small and no counter space. Bathroom was tiny and needs help - the fan is super loud and TV in bedroom doesn’t pivot so not really viewable from bed. Train and traffic were noisy. You can’t access beach without driving a short distance.

Not enough furniture not enough chairs make up stains on the towels just a really substandard amateur job trying to own an operate. A hotel should be listed from your website not you should do it an on-site inspection.

I got the hillside view but oceanfront is very accessible. You can walk towards the beach or just relax by the jacuzzi and still get the best view especially during sunset. The rooms are clean and spacious but you can kinda hear conversations by the door but other than that everything is great! The staff are also very helpful and nice. They’ll answer your questions and even give options as to where to go and how to get there. Will definitely come back to this place!
