Side note, I will advise against visiting Tangier in during peak season from mid July to end of August. "The room had not been prepared for our children - we had to repeatedly ask to have the sofa bed done. The shower is only a trickle and sometimes completely goes off. The staff was very friendly and the hotels garden restaurant in the pool area was excellent with very friendly waiters . The pool was lovely and staff was friendly and helpful even when it was very busy. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of food. The main disappointment was that the room really Needed a proper refurb. The shower / bath were rusty and toilet paper holder fell off when I moved the toilet paper. Carpet coming off at the stairs etc. However, the hotel felt very safe and was fine for a short stay."

The check in process was quick and easy, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive our room at 11:00 AM, which made a big difference to our stay. MJ’s friendly attitude, efficiency, and outstanding customer service set a great first impression. Thank you for making our arrival so smooth and enjoyable. I truly appreciate the excellent service and would gladly stay here again."

"This was a very well located hotel if you wanted to spend time on the beach but it was quite far from the old medina. Tangier is a very busy city and at certain times of the day the city is grid locked and it’s virtually impossible to get a taxi or move. The disappointments was there was no iron or hangers in the room. We had to wait nearly 4 hours to get some despite this being a supposedly 5 star hotel with ample wardrobe space - not much use without hangers. The hairdryer was a disgrace too with both me and my husband ending up with small burns on our hands but that got replaced eventually too but again a couple of hours. They tended to respond better to my Moroccan husbands requests. I often got ignored when it came to these matters. There was also loads of screams loud children everywhere - on the hotel, on the beach and everywhere."
