"The property desperately needs a makeover. I was in a room where there was some rust and signs of wear. Wood furniture is showing wear. The washroom had laminate pulling off. I also mentioned to staff about strange noise in the room, high pitched ping, as well as TV channels not loading like CBC. Nothing was done prior to my departure. I would not recommend or encourage to go back. The restaurant though was great. Several guests have raised issues with rooms and hotel."

"Pool- the floor in the pool was really dirty and there were no towels anytime we went down. It would be very helpful to put in some benches as there is not near enough seating- I was quite disappointed with the pool area."

"This hotel checked all the boxes for what we were hoping would be a fun weekend away as a family of four. We booked the king suite, which was a great setup with a pull-out couch in the main area. After checking in, we enjoyed the pool. Later that evening we noticed the room was quite warm so we turned down the thermostat. By the kids’ bedtime, it had become noticeably hotter, and we lowered it all the way to 15°C. Despite this, the room remained unbearably hot throughout the night. Our kids ended up sleeping on the pull-out couch in nothing but their underwear with flushed faces, clearly uncomfortable. I’m 7 months pregnant and already struggle with sleep, so the excessive heat and dryness in the room made for a very difficult night (including dealing with a bloody nose). In the morning, I brought the issue to the front desk and was told I was the second guest to report the same problem. I was informed the hotel operates on central air, so there wasn’t much that could be done, aside from offering fans or switching rooms. We decided to wait for maintenance to assess the situation before moving. Later, we were told the issue had been resolved, so we stayed in the same room. What was most disappointing was how this situation was handled. Despite a very uncomfortable first night and known issue with the room no effort was made to offer any form of compensation or discount. For what could have been a great stay, this left a lasting negative impression."
