"The staff here are amazing. We stayed for two nights to kick off our East Coast tour. The air conditioning kind of worked, but was horribly noisy and not very effective. We couldn’t run it at night because it was too loud so things got a bit warm. Soap etc was satisfactory. Breakfast was limited. All that said it was decent for the price, clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable, and it was super quiet. A special shout-out for the friendly and helpful staff."

"The hotel is in a lovely part of Halifax. It’s an old hotel that has been looked after very well. The only issue we had is that the front desk staff could not answer questions on any tours that we were interested in. I would highly recommend this Hotel."

"The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Everything else was meh -- overpriced and soulless, the hotel caters to conferences and group travel. At least the staff was charming. It's called Marriott Harbourfront yet only a few rooms face the harbour. My room faced a roof and wall (as do most others) and when I told them it was depressing, they moved me to a room where I could see the harbour if I stood in one corner near the window -- an improvement but still not worth $400 (US) per night. Would never go back."
