"My stay ended on March 2nd, it took until April 24th to have the security deposit refunded to me because they couldn't figure out how to process it. Not particularly professional. The stay itself was not bad, and the place is quite nice, I love the historical aspects of the property, but it could use some fixes/updates. I was in an upstairs bedroom, on both my bedroom door and the bathroom door there was a gap between the door and the door frame, so other guests walking by could see into the room. That made me uncomfortable as a solo female traveler, and should be fixed. It is very nice that they have free parking in downtown Providence (unlike most hotels in this area) but it had snowed a couple days before and the parking lot was plowed in a way that there wasn't enough parking spots."

"The hotel itself is a very nice property, lobby and rooms are quite attractive, spacious and well-equipped. Amenities and service, not so much -- couldn't get a room assigned at 2:30, sent to a room that had not been cleaned, no coffee in the lobby before 6:00, none of which were extreme but cumulatively giving a sense that this hotel is not as nice as it could be and should be. It started as a high-end downtown option and has slowly but surely become a good but by no means exceptional hotel. Location is very nice, downtown Providence and within a few blocks of many restaurants and other amenities."

Room design shows luxurious touches throughout (robes, finishes, towels, linens, curtains, coffee, chocolates, steamer, toiletries) but does not overwhelm — they comfort, quietly. WiFi works — simply and well. Room temperature controls are precise and effective. Whimsical and humorous references to the hotel’s eponymous human inspiration (Bea) abound. It’s always clean and being cleaned. Even the valets are friendly and helpful. I have stayed at more than a thousand hotels around the world and The Beatrice is ‘global class.’ Recommend staying if coming to Rhode Island and you crave that ‘home away from home’ feeling. It’s the ‘little things’ as a package that can make or break a guest experience at a fine hotel and The Beatrice did not disappoint on my three night stay in early May 2026."
