WHAT a find! Super cute hotel, lovely welcoming host who gave us some great tips of things to visit locally. The local restaurant staff were really friendly and welcoming and even gave us a free desert to celebrate our honeymoon. Such a lovely little town.

Very clean. An older property that has been well maintained. The walls were a little thin but everyone went to bed early. We were there to watch our grandson wrestle in hotchkiss so it was a convenient option in stead of driving.

Remote area but very welcoming. Was looking for more comfy bedding but the clean bathroom & spacious room made up for it.

I loved the western theme of the town, maybe the rooms should follow the theme. When booking the room it said the room was newly renovated, painted paneling and 70's furniture don't exactly qualify as "renovated"...

Historic!

The property is historic so it lends itself to being a bit more on the rustic side. Basic and no frills and clean rooms. Cherri is a warm, welcoming and helpful presence.

Great spot for a get away. Wifi was almost non existent but we were prepared for that, so it was actually quite pleasant. The place was very clean and comfortable. Most of all, the owners and help were outstanding hosts. Will most likely return again.

Wonderful

A Great place. The nicest room we had on our trip and the best meal at the bar down the street. The Autumn colors were great - be sure to see the north rim of Black Canyon nearby.

It's clear that the owners put a lot of care into their cute hotel. Our stay was exactly what we were looking for after a long road trip and before hiking in the Gunnison forest the next day.

Great place and great hosts. The only slight drawback is the shower is a bit tricky. I'd gladly stay again.

This property is a bit dated & basic but excellent for the price. It was very clean & very accommodating for my dog. It was cool staying above the Hitching Post in this tiny burg in CO.

The owners are so nice and accommodating, let us check ing early and made sure we had everything we needed. Nothing fancy, clean and comfortable! Love the small town hospitality and won't hesitate to book here again if ever back in the area! Nice retro-style simple small hotel, a bit worn out, but clean; supportive attentive owners. The only reason I gave it four star is the distance to the south rim of Black Canyon NP.

The room is small but it is very clean and its interior is well organized. The host must be serious about the clearness of the room. The town is small and most of the stores seems to close early.

I called the morning of check in because we were traveling there from a few hours away on a Sunday (the main office has different hours on Sunday). The proprietor was so friendly & welcoming on the phone. She provided info regarding local restaurant availability & property amenities. We made mutually agreeable check in arrangements & continued our journey. Loved the "old West" vibe. Would definitely stay again.

For what we paid it was a great place to stay. Two areas of concern would be that there were no bolt locks and hotel room doors were opened from the outside not within the building so having no bolts was a little concerning. The airconditioner would sometimes cut in for only 3 seconds and cut off and then 10 minutes later cut in for a regular cycle. Annoyig when trying to sleep. Otherwise this was a great place and I would stay again.
