「Quaint little hotel near enough the centre of Bayeux, so ideal location to base yourself before pushing out to explore Normandy. Rooms were clean and tidy, beds comfy and enough room for two people. One issue we found was the hair dryer lacked some oomph but given the weather it wasnt entirely needed. The free cider was a welcome touch and very delicious. Parking as well was fantastic if you're driving. All in all would stay again. Staff were welcoming and helpful.」

When I said I was travelling with 2 motorbikes, they were able to reserve me a covered parking space in their courtyard for the duration of my stay. 「Our quick visit to Hôtel de la Plage was wonderful. Despite a much later first night arrival, the staff kept in constant communication with us for check-in and had keys and information waiting. The restaurant was closed, but they put together a last-minute charcuterie board and some drinks for us. 「This hotel is simply amazing, the property is well kept: beautiful landscape, garden, restaurants and bar. We had breakfast and dinner which were well prepared. The breakfast came with fresh squeezed orange juice, variety of bread, crepes, meat and dinner menu has a wide selection, including kid’s plate, seafood, meat and desserts. They have an extensive dessert menu also. Everyone is simply attentive, kind, and welcoming. Receptionists, servers, and team members were fluent in English....

「Really beautiful hotel. The rooms are nice and clean. The bathrooms are large. The restaurant on site is wonderful for a special dinner. The breakfast was very nice with many traditional French options including local cheese. I didn’t use the pool, but it was very nice. The spa has 2 nice jacuzzi’s that are large. Everything was well maintained.」
