Air conditioner had small buttons with tiny labels. Tried to turn it on for quite a while with no success. Fortunately, it was only a little warm in the room. At 5am it suddenly came on, waking me up. Also, the remote desk clerk was busy when I wanted to check out and I had to leave a voicemail to check out. Weird.

The views from our room were excellent. You could see the iconic Hollywood sign and the Griffith park observatory. The gym had more than enough equipment to get a good workout. Finally the pool area was a very pleasant surprise with it’s outdoor garden vibe.

Still love this hotel but still hate the smell in the lobby. I thought they had fixed it when I first arrived, but alas, not. They use some kind of air freshener that is noxious. It would be 5 stars if that were eliminated.

I love this hotel, we visit every year. It is very relaxing, the pools are great and the indoor thermal pool is amazing. Spa service is very good also. The apartment had fantastic views of the estuary and city, and was spacious. Had basic cooking equipment, but not really sufficient for regular self- catering. Decor a bit tired, and could do with Netflix / Prime on TV for travellers for whom Spanish isn't their first language.
