Husa Costa Calida hotels

"The best thing about this hotel is the location right on the beach and the views over the bays. You need to book a terrace room. Ours was on the first floor with a wide terrace we loved to sit on in the afternoon sunshine and watch the sun go down. The hotel itself has seen better days but our room was clean and comfortable with beds made and fresh towels every day. The terrace bar is also a great place to sit and have a drink in the evening. We tried breakfast there one morning but it was poor. the service was terrible and the area hadn't been cleaned since the night before. It's a bit of a walk from the centre and new port of Mazarrón but we preferred the location because it had the best beach. The whole area is a bit run down. The Sunday market was great!"

"Good location for exploring the town. The staff are super helpful and polite. The bed was very comfortable and our room was spacious. The bathroom shower was good with plenty of hot water. My only criticism was that with a very large hand basin in there it left very little room for manoeuvring. The breakfast was good and had plenty of variety."

"Totally disappointing stay. For a 5-star resort, it was awful. The outside pool was not in use, so only indoor pool. The lift had broken so you had to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs to get there. The lake view requested was disgusting. It was full of green algae and half empty. Loads of noisy kids running around for hours too. The lobby areas were really tatty as well. The room had no storage, no biscuits for the tea and coffee and the TV didn't have any streaming options. I expect this from a 1 star but this was not adequate for 5 star."

"I think the room, staff was excellent. The breakfast itself was a typical buffet that sat under lights but wasn’t as hot as you would hope for. Fresh fruit was in short supply. I appreciate that the hotel wasn’t full and therefore so as not to waste food, choice was limited. Not a complaint just an observation."

"Breakfast was a reasonable continental for 8 euros, my room had a partial sea view and town view from the balcony,the only downside was that there was a bar /restaurant just below my room, which served food until late in the evening and as the Spanish like to eat late,it became rather noisy, no loud music though."
