Nice central hotel, parking not great.

The hotel is very nice, comfortable rooms, good breakfast and great location right near the main pedestrian area and an easy walk to all of the sights. The first room we were given was directly opposite the lift and we could here the constant whirring of the lift going up and down, door opening and closing, and people coming and going. We were staying for three nights so asked to move the next day and that was not a problem, we had a nice quiet room for the next two nights. The hotel has an underground car park which has an entrance around the corner. It is very tight for space. Larger cars seemed to get preference for spaces near the entrance. Because we had a small car we were directed through a very narrow gap between columns to a space where only small cars could fit. We left the car there the whole stay. On leaving it took all of my skill and patience to extract the car from the space without damaging it (it was a rental car). Virtually no room to turn in, and passing by columns with mirrors folded in and a couple of inches clearance each side. Not a great experience, and it cost 15 euros a night. Otherwise Cartegena is a lovely clean place with loads of Roman and Moorish ruins and a really interesting history. Worth a visit!

El hotel no está mal, pero no es como un 4 estrellas de las grandes cadenas de hoteles. Algunas cosas algo anticuadas y dejadas. La relación calidad-precio no es demasiado buena. Al menos en esta época del año. Lo mejor, el trato del personal. Excelente.

Good hotel value for money

Very good big rooms, air conditioned, clean and comfortable. Close to the center of Cartagena. Has a well equipped gym. Hotel lobby and breakfast area a bit dated, but the reception staff is friendly and accommodating. Overall a good experience.

Convenient to places of interest

This is a good hotel and situated just off the pedestrian shopping area and close to the places of interest. I have stayed here before and would recommend it. Parking is available but limited (and small) spaces but there are plenty of public car parks 5 minutes walk away. If you have breakfast it is basic but fresh.

O principal inconveniente foi o elevador, apenas um funcionava, e era pequeno e lento. Para não perder tempo eu usava as escadas, mas para chegar e sair com as malas, tinha que pegar o elevador. Na saída, estávamos em 5 pessoas, e levamos mais de 15 minutos para que todos conseguissem descer com as malas, pois não cabiam todos, e demorava a voltar, por ter outras pessoas utilizando. Pelas fotos o interior do hotel parecia mais novo, mas apesar da aparência de velho, todo o resto funcionava, exceto o elevador. Check-in e check-out rápidos, e bom atendimento na recepção.

Comfortable, professional hotel

Comfortable hotel. Very convenient to walk into the city and to other attractions. Excellent breakfasts - best we have had in Spain so far. Friendly, efficient staff. Underground, secure parking nearby at €15 per day. We will definitely stay again next year.
