Small budget hotel in excellent location

Great location with many food choices nearby. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple, but more than sufficient and the coffee was good. The bathroom was a bit outdated and small, but functional. Excellent price to value ratio.

The hotel is only a hundred or so metres from the train station, but it is quite quiet because it is on a narrow side street. The staff were very friendly and accommodated my early arrival and allowed me a space to wait an hour after check out time before I headed to the bus station.

I did have a good time at the hotel. At the center of the city, Coimbra, you could almost go anywhere. The train is nearby so if you need to get to the hotel then, you are not that far from Hotel domus. As it was in the center of Coimbra, I was not expecting to be quiet. It was noisy, but as a solo traveller, it did not affect me in anyway. The hotel facilities were cleaned, affordable. Breakfast is not included in the price, as it is something you can have apart by paying 5 euros, which is not bad. The room allocated, had a small TV, a private bathroom and a bed, even though, when moving, the bed made a lot of noise. Overall, I had a good time and the receptionists were very welcoming and always ready to help with any queries. Thank you

Good value for a solo traveler - clean room, friendly staff, good location. Easy 10-15 mins walk to main bus station. Local bus line to Lousã-A (for Aldeias do Xisto / Schist villages and hiking trails) begins just 3-4 mins walk away, which is extremely convenient if you want to visit there.

Friendly and helpful staff and clean room

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The staff help me to take luggages when we left. We arranged the room with big terrace and it is amazing so many plants, flowers and fruits tree. Excellent experience with such family hotel.

Good lodging option

Clean, quiet and convenient to historic area. There's a fair amount of walking to wander around both the upper and lower neighborhoods, but that was part of the enjoyment. The hotel is down a pedestrian alley and cannot be seen from the main street. However, you can drive there to drop off and pick up luggage. Convenient to restaurants and the river.

Very close to train station and easy to find. Staff were very nice and kind. Room was comfortable and very clean. Lots of tv channel options. Only drawback was some lack of noise insulation within the hotel and from outside (e.g. could hear other guests talking loudly and loud singing visitors on the street). However it was relatively minor.

A family run property nice for a one or two night stay in Coimbra. Clean, safe, and convenient to walk to the main sites. Note there is no elevator. Also, I almost missed my train back to Lisbon because the front door was locked when I tried to leave at 7 am to catch a train. So make sure you communicate that you may be leaving early to the manager.

Great accomodation and close to the train station!

My stay at Hotel Domus was excellent. I arrived in one of the hottest days in September in Coimbra, and the room was both ready an hour before check-in, allowing me to take a shower, and the A/C at night was just perfect. The bed was comfortable, the room and washroom were very clean and the service was very friendly. There is no elevator, so if going up a flight of stairs or two is a problem, that would be my only word of warning. For me it wasn't a problem whatsoever. It was also very quiet!

Bonne expérience, il est possible de parler français avec le personnel. Nous avons pu stationner notre voiture dans un garage pour 10euro facilement, il est à 2 min à pied de l'hôtel. La chambre et salle de bain sont propre. L'hôtel est très bien situé devant la gare, près d'une petite épicerie et à quelques pas de la rue principale touristique. Je recommande à tous.

Atendimento exemplar

O Hotel encontra-se na zona histórica de Coimbra mesmo no centro da localidade. É um Hotel antigo com uma localização um pouco escondida. O estacionamento gratuito não é fácil mas tive alguma sorte, no entanto, o Hotel tem acordo com um parque bastante perto por um valor diário de 10€. O quarto era antigo mas aconchegante e com limpeza irrepreensível. O atendimento foi exemplar.
