"This is a very nice and cosy boutique hĂŽtel close the city center, at the bottom of the famous Citadelle. Rooms are very comfortable (decoration style is bold⊠you like it or not) and the real cherry on the cake is an excellent and affordable restaurant on site. Staff is super friendly and helpful. "The Royal Snail is a great boutique hotel on the outskirts of town but very walkable. Free parking outside the property. Rooms were spacious and all staff were happy to help.
Breakfast was good - only cold buffet on display however hot items could be made on request which was great as they were fresh! I really appreciated the omelette and bacon which was cooked for me!
Restaurant was lovely with great food. It was busy with few staff however we never felt like we were neglected and they made sure we had everything we needed. Good selection of wines and specialist gin with many tonic options.
The spa is quite pricey but beautiful, very small but a high standard - treatments need to be booked in advance as external staff cons to do these.
The gym is small and functional (TV was missing from wall when we were there).
The pool is really tiny - itâs a plunge pool more for decoration - would be great to have some big fish in it as not really a functional pool!
The bedrooms are nice with the best mini bar Iâve had for years! Huge super king bed. Beware that some bedrooms have only a glass screen between the bedroom and bathroom with no privacy screen! Ours had a separate bathroom which was fine (6th floor). The TV really needs upgraded in the room - specified SMART TV but wasnât - usually freebies channels only, no internet to cast devices or watch Netflix etc.

"The hotel itself is rather old and tired and in need of a refurb.
However, the welcoming staff and incredible breakfast means that we will definitely stay here again.
The location is great, just outside Wavre, close to the motorway. Parking is easy and lots of it.
The breakfast was one of best we've ever had. Freshly cooked sausages, bacon, eggs etc. Fresh fruit juice (not watered down like in some hotels), Warm pastries and a variety of other delights!
The staff on reception and in the restaurant were also friendly, welcoming and smart.
There is no air conditioning, however a fan was provided and the blinds reduce the sun.
Coffee and tea is available in the lobby."
