HOTEL THE BOTANIK SEWOON MYEONGDONG

10/10 Excellent

"Fairly new hotel so everything about the rooms is still nice, clean and fresh. Staff was super helpful and they all seem to speak perfect English at the front desk. Best thing about the room was the washing machine and clothes steamer/dryer. Free bottles of water each day is also a nice plus. As for downsides, it's not as close to the subway entrance as some other nearby hotels, but it's still less than a 5 minute walk and it's situated between Euljiro 3 and Euljiro 4 subway stops so you have access to Lines 2, 3, and 5. Also less than a 5 min walk is the Airport Limousine Bus stop, just across Euljiro, in front of the Hotel Kukdo. Since the hotel is tucked back from the street it can be a bit disorienting trying to find it depending on which subway exit you come out of. There is currently a ton of major construction going on as well. Once that construction is done I'm sure there will be a clearer path to the hotel. Overall I quite like this property."

"The hotel was very good. The lobby and rooms were very clean. On site laundry machines are a life saver! Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially since there was a language barrier with Korean and English. They helped us navigate the area, gave good directions on uber drivers. The hotel location was situated in a very safe spot, I felt very safe walking around at all hours of the day and night. A lot of good restaurants to choose from. The surrounding area wasn’t overly busy like other well known areas, which was perfect because it gave you a little bit of break from the busyness of the city. You were just a few blocks away from the Cheonggyecheon river walk so it was easy and quite peaceful to be close to. I’d definitely stay here again if I ever make it back to Seoul."

"Orakai Insadong Suites was an excellent choice for exploring Seoul, and its location is hard to beat. Being within walking distance of Insadong, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, Ikseon-dong and even Myeongdong made sightseeing incredibly convenient. We rarely needed taxis, and it was wonderful being able to simply walk to many of Seoul's most iconic attractions. Our apartment was spacious, comfortable and very practical for a longer stay. Having a full kitchen, washing machine and plenty of living space made a huge difference. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would certainly recommend Orakai Insadong Suites to travellers looking for apartment-style accommodation in the heart of Seoul, especially families, longer-stay visitors or anyone wanting the flexibility of self-catering."

"Room was very nice and front desk staff was friendly. Breakfast was delicious with a huge variety of options! Loved the location in that it was right in front of a subway station making it extremely convenient. Hotel provided free laundry facilities which was awesome. Loved the L’Occitane toiletries. One thing I did not like was that the shower door was a half shower door that could not be closed making showering quite inconvenient. Overall it was a great stay at the hotel and I would definitely stay here again!"
