「Fantastic place to stay! Great room, wonderful host. Breakfast was great, just right to set you up for the day. This was our 2nd stay and hopefully we'll return again next year. Can't fault at all .」

「The breakfast was, I’d say, better than in a Hotel Ibis. The food was, definitely, locally sourced. We reached Bruton and the Hauser & Wirth arts complex easily from this hotel. We also visited the Jurassic Coast, but that took us a whole day, and we returned by 10pm.」

「Bit of an issue getting into the property as we arrived quite late but thought the pub would still be open. Sorted out quickly without a problem though. Room was really good, comfortable, clean with all we needed for a good night's sleep. Owner seems to have considered what was required really well. Breakfast was excellent & catered for all tastes. 「Lovely room, clean with plenty of space. Very comfortable bed and everything provided that you would need. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This was despite the fact that they were dealing with flooding outside the pub following a storm.」

「Really quaint old inn with lots of exposed stone walls & beams. Staff were super friendly & helpful - really warm welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Bed very comfortable & the small double room I had was perfect just for me. Food in the restaurant was delicious & there was a good choice. Breakfast plentiful, well presented & hearty. 「Great rural location (i am not a golfer), really nice room, clean and comfortable and reasonably stylish. Only let downs were; paper thin walls so could hear quiet conversations in the adjacent rooms, and a noisy shower (neighbour showered at 1am!). it was a heatwave; room fans were provided but it would have been good to fully ventilate the rooms. Due to work commitments i had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on that.」

「The location was perfect for us as we were going to the theatre. (2 minute walk). Walking to town didn’t take much longer and we enjoyed looking around. The lady that checked us in was very friendly and offered advice about where to visit. It was nice to be greeted with a smile and the same for when we went down for breakfast. We enjoyed breakfast very much, which was beautifully cooked and presented. To have parking at such a central location was great. We did have to play around getting out...
