Depending on where you’re coming from, your journey to Busan could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We’ve compiled some tips that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you’ll want a few toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a few magazines. Secondly, find room in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of an airplane are not the place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and take a cardigan as it tends to get cool inside the cabin on long-haul flights. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are also a wise idea.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long-haul flights. But the great news is there are numerous ways to reduce your risk of developing it. Stay well hydrated, wander around the cabin as much as possible and wear compression tights or socks.
