We loved this place! Felicia was incredibly helpful from start to finish. We felt very welcome when we walked in. The history of the inn was so incredible. The bar area was wonderful and so was the bartender. We stayed in one of the King suites. It was so clean and peaceful. We will definitely be back.

The Inn was lovely. The room was small, but authentic and fine. The problem is the food service is very spotty. The restaurant has limited hours and days- no breakfast except on weekends. Also if you have a room on a Monday, most of the day and all night there is no one working at all- you are alone! And on Tuesday when we needed to check out, there was no one working. We had to leave the keys in an unlocked room.

I only stayed one night, but it was impressive! The staff was so welcoming..even gave me a tour of the Inn, as it is steeped in history. Dinner was great, I ordered the salmon and it was delicious. I sat at the bar as I was a solo traveler. The barmaid was very welcoming, as were all the "regulars" who showed up to eat and drink. My room was clean and comfortable. Be aware...there are no tv's in the rooms (I did not mind). There is plenty of easy parking in the lot.

Clean room, good location. Not much within walking distance, but restaurants and the beach were just a short drive. Breakfast was not provided so we found a nice local coffee shop. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a nice stay at General Stanton. It’s a very cool old Inn with lots of character and was very clean. We checked in after hours so did not interact with any staff except over the phone but the remote check in process was still easy and we had no issues. Was a convenient and affordable stay for a concert in Matunuck.
