This was a very cozy stay for the night! The staff were friendly and helpful! I was grateful to stay here in this area and I would definitely book a stay again!
The hotel is such a quaint place in the town of Chama. The family that runs the place is so helpful and kind. Rooms are needing some TLC, but it was comfortable and pet friendly, exactly what we needed for a one night stop over on our way to Durango. Enjoyed the fresh made coffee and home style appeal. With some fresh room updates, this place would get a gold star!! Would definitely stay again!
the room was nice and clean and plenty of space. the ice machine did not work but they were getting a new one. they did have breakfast (danish, fruit, coffee, juice.) the thing that would make this motel a more perfect stay is if they had a refridgerater and maybe a microwave. there is plenty of room for them and most motels have them in rooms.

The room was clean. The bed was nice. We are side sleepers and we slept well with no back, shoulder,or hip pain. Water pressure was light. Toilet is one of the shortest I have seen. It would be difficult for someone to get on and off of, that has knee, hip, or back problems. There is not a microwave or fridge. It's in a nice location close to restaurants, and train. Staff is helpful directing places to eat.
We had never been to New Mexico before and love taking the scenic side roads instead of the highways, which led us to this gem. We arrived during a torrential rainstorm, but Tanya went above and beyond to help us get settled in. She even made sure we had a ground-floor room for our dog, which was so appreciated.
Though the rain kept us in for the evening, the next morning brought sunshine and the chance to explore this charming town. The people here are incredibly friendly, and the whole experience felt warm and welcoming from start to finish.
If you're passing through—especially if you're taking the backroads—definitely stay here!
The room was very clean and quiet but the ice machine was not functioning, the wifi was sub par, and there was no USB charging in the room.

Property over all was nice and the staff was very nice as well. Beds were harder than I like. Not anywhere in the room to plug in a charger for phones without unplugging something else. Even had to unplug the clock to use the coffeemaker.

Older but not bad overall
The motel was serviceable. We didn't spend a lot of time there as we got in late and left early for the train. We drove in about 8:30pm so the front desk was closed for the night and our key was left in an envelope in a drop box. Overall, the housekeepers do an excellent job at keeping things clean and tidy but there were a few issues that were beyond them. There were some mold spots on the ceiling above the shower and our bathroom light wasn't working either so we had to use our phone flashlights to see. The motel feels like an old place and is a bit outdated, but I think, overall, it is in pretty decent condition and a quiet and peaceful spot. It has a convenient location where everything is just a couple minutes' drive. I wouldn't mind staying there again.
Wonderful greeting and service. We were disappointed that room did not have a microwave and refrigerator, but the fault is ours for not checking when reserving. A great area for dog walking.
