Great location, with a spacious, clean parking lot and excellent customer service. Our room was very clean and tidy upon arrival, and it was very spacious and comfortable.
The cabin was comfortable and clean Witha nice King bed the kitchen was clean but very few cooking utensils and Dishes. Could not use the oven as you needed a match to light and non was provided.A nice amenity was a ice machine available free of charge.

The mobile home of the property we stayed in was spacious and accommodating but could use some updating. Property was clean. Mattress wasn't comfortable, shower heads in both bathrooms need cleaning. Bathroom floor by the toilet felt like you might fall though it. Kitchen had a weird smell. Staff was friendly. Grounds around the swingset could use some upkeep. Parking was available and convenient.
The cabin was slightly dumpy, but it was kinda perfect. There were oddities, like the outlets being too far from the things that needed plugged in, but it was everything we needed. Comfortable beds, dishes to use, and extremely helpful staff. It was nice sitting on the porch area in the evening. Very quiet and relaxing.
Super cute room, I describe it as Grandmas House in a very loving way. Make sure to visit the river front on property. This place was very comfortable and relaxing.

I hate to leave a poor review because there were some things we liked about this place including its proximity to the river and the nearby covered picnic and stage area. However the sheets on the beds were not clean, and there are some areas where the owners need to reinvest/rebuild a bit such as the sink. It's a decent roadside motel, and the staff are nice.

We recently stayed at this cabin and found both positives and negatives during our visit.
The location is beautiful, with a peaceful river right behind the property that made for a relaxing atmosphere. The management and maintenance staff were also very friendly, responsive, and pleasant to interact with, which we really appreciated.
Unfortunately, the cabin itself could use more attention to cleanliness and maintenance. The room was not as clean as we expected, there were stains on the bed sheets, the microwave was broken, and the TV remote didn’t have batteries. The bathtub faucet also leaked continuously throughout our stay.
Overall, the property has a lot of potential because of its beautiful setting and helpful staff, but the accommodations need better cleaning and routine maintenance to provide the experience guests expect.

Stayed 2 nights. Bed was comfortable, parking right in front of door. With no AC, be prepared if temps are above normal, the room did not cool down until middle of the night. Bring an extra fan to bring cool air in from outside. There was an issue with no ice available one evening, but next morning there was lots. A bear was apparently in the dumpster and dragged trash out. I heard him but another tenant said she saw it. Trash was picked up that evening when we returned from the train ride.

Our cabin was very cute and comfortable and was very clean. But we had to hang a towel over one window for privacy as the curtain was not big enough.
And another curtain had holes torn in it. One blind was also broken up. But it was quite cozy otherwise and comfortable. Beautiful setting and convenient parking right by the cabin. The staff was also friendly and helpful. Our truck would not start in the morning and they offered to help us.

It’s fine as a simple lodging. It was the only one I could find that let you bring dogs. Rusty and faded fixtures, no a/c, the staff was never at the front desk or answered the phone but when I did find them they were great. Clean sheets, floors and bathroom just worn fixtures. Fine for camping and fishing or short stopovers.
The Elkhorn Lodge is very rustic, and simple. That is okay, but we found it rather dirty. The dresser drawers didn't work (fell out on the floor), old coffee from prior guests still in the pot, lawn furniture on the porch falling apart, lamp shades torn, and in general a run down unkept appearance. The beds were comfortable and the fan kept the room nice and cool. The gentleman in the office was very courteous. We would not choose to stay here again.
We live the peaceful area. My Favorite time is spend on the porch listening to the birds. We never saw deer by the road, eating grass. There is a swing in the grass area by the office. The tree keeps it shady.
Staff was friendly and helpful, room was cute and clean - but it wasn’t the room that I paid for. I paid for deluxe queen and we got the standard queen instead. (No kitchenette.) we were offered a discount, but it wasn’t the same rate the standard queen was listed at on the website. Would recommend contacting lodge directly to confirm room before you arrive to ensure you have the right thing.
